Research on the Design of Art Healing Applications in Museums Under the Theory of Embodied Cognition
摘要
Against the backdrop of global demographic and modern lifestyle changes, the public health crisis has become more acute and has led to many societal problems. Artistic healing in museums has presented itself as a place of healing in the wake of the new Crown Pneumonia. The historic shift in the educational focus of museums from promoting the information and value of collections to engaging in experiences filled with personal meaning has also changed the mindset of practitioners, policymakers, and the general public to be more convinced that the power of museums lies in creating a better world through healing and improving lives. The challenge, however, is how to make museums have a positive impact on people's health through artistic healing. Art therapy in museums utilizes non-verbal media, including but not limited to artwork, weaving, interactive media, and robotics, to stimulate the senses of the visitor's body, assisting the visitor in transforming the world of direct experience into a cognitive or psychological world and projecting that cognition onto the objects in the collection. Thus, the essence of art healing in museums is the embodied interaction of the visitor's body with the medium and the environment. This paper explores the design method framework of art healing application of museums from the perspective of embodied cognition and proposes that the art healing function of museums can be systematically designed from the body perception layer, the behavior control layer, and the spirit construction layer. In the body perception layer, there are three ways in museum art healing: 1. Museum exhibits 2. Ways to collect exhibits 3. Museum environment. These three elements attract visitors and encourage them to participate in the experience. Five elements in the Behavioral Control layer: connecting, noticing, giving, continually learning, and being proactive. The five elements build a positive state of mind and body. In the Spirit Building Layer, visitors realize the creation of abstract concepts such as meaning and are soothed by the artwork during the embodied interaction of healing through multiple senses.
