GovMark: A Local Government Benchmarking Webapp for the Philippine Department of the Interior and Local Government

This case study delves into the development and evaluation of “GovMark,” a prototype of a web portal designed to consolidate, and publicly present government performance scores derived from the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) scores achieved by barangays in the Philippines. GovMark aims to promote transparency and accountability by publishing SGLGB scores in an easy-to-understand manner for the public to better and more objectively understand their local governments. The study aims to understand in the context of Human-Computer Interaction on how useful and effective the GovMark prototype is at showing and providing transparent and intelligible data on barangay performance in the Philippines.
