Intelligent Navigation Light Design for Night Riding Enthusiasts

摘要

Night cycling is gaining popularity in China, especially among urban professionals due to its simplicity and compatibility with busy schedules. Through literature research and user surveys, this study reveals existing market problems such as single-direction lighting, equipment management difficulties, integration challenges with home environments, and limited usage scenarios. Based on the understanding of these existing problems, this study proposes and designs a multifunctional intelligent cycling lighting device aimed at addressing the aforementioned challenges. Research methods include desktop research, competitive analysis, questionnaire surveys, and user interviews to gain insights into the needs and pain points of night cycling users. Through the analysis of user workflow and the integration of design opportunities, the study primarily focuses on hardware design, presenting a multifunctional intelligent cycling light product specifically designed for suburban night cycling enthusiasts. Covering both indoor and outdoor usage scenarios, the product enhances practicality through the interconnectedness of hardware and software, thereby achieving a multifunctional intelligent cycling equipment design solution that meets outdoor night cycling needs. The main contributions of this study lie in the breakthrough and innovation of the current market’s homogenized product design, expanding the product’s usage scenarios and achieving multi-directional lighting. By effectively integrating the functions of other cycling auxiliary devices such as navigation, cycling odometer, weather forecast, and timing, the study enhances the product’s convenience and efficiency, thus improving user experience. The application of this product can reduce the redundancy caused by the single functionality and numerous quantities of different cycling auxiliary devices, providing a demonstration for the sustainable development of the bicycle industry.
