Post-Processing Applied to Brain Tumor Surgery: Case studies
摘要
This paper introduces the implementation of post-processing techniques applied to the fusion, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction of studies involving patients with brain tumors. The objective of this study is to emphasize the interdisciplinary collaboration that facilitates synergy between the academic and clinical environments, involving various medical specialties and bioengineering. Two cases are presented where a coordinated generation of clinically relevant scenes has been achieved to visualize key regions for surgery. The employed studies and the obtained results regarding surgical planning are described for each case.
