摘要

Ultrasound is being investigated to perform ablation and neuromodulation in brain tissue for the inhibition of epileptic foci. To carry out tests, it is necessary to have accessible and easily reproducible phantoms that simulate the tissue to be treated. The materials used for tissue phantoms were ex vivo chicken tissue, polyvinyl alcohol cryogel and mixture of proteins (evaporated milk, BSA) and thickeners (agar, bovine gelatin). The analysis of cerebral tissue phantoms gives ranges of the following parameters: 1485 to 1720 m/s of speed propagation and from 0.075 to 0.81 dB/cm/MHz acoustic attenuation coefficient.
