uFISIO: Evaluation of a Standalone Device for Arterial Stiffness Assessment and Wave Analysis
摘要
The periodic development of protocols for the evaluation of cardiovascular profiles in different populations entails the need to have a practical device capable of acquiring the required signals, integrating most of the parameters to be considered for the study into its capabilities and carrying out the management of the obtained information. Particularly, Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV) is currently considered as the gold standard for the estimation of arterial stiffness. Having a standalone device for the assessment of PWV and wave analysis in an agile way (real-time) enhances its use in clinical environments. Under that premise, the objective of the present work was to design a wireless modular device with the assistance of medical professionals, focused on solving the limitations observed in the traditional practice.
