Developing a Teacher Self-Reflection E-portfolio Platform for the Improvement of Noticing Skills of Childcare Teachers

The objective of this study is to develop a system that provides early childhood teachers with video clips of their classroom teaching practices. This system is designed to aid teachers in self-reflection regarding the interactions observed in these videos. Furthermore, it aims to enable teachers to analyze and make informed decisions based on their interpretations. To streamline the process of facilitating teachers’ self-reflection through recorded teaching practices, experts in teacher education have collaborated to develop web-based teaching portfolios. Specifically, the SRP developed for this study is based on a web-based portfolio platform that is centered on artificial intelligence. This platform is tailored to effectively support teacher’s cognitive process training in self-reflecting on their teaching behaviors. The SRP is expected to serve as an effective tool for enhancing teachers’ cognitive processes related to supporting play. It will allow teachers to record, reflect upon, and share their self-reflection processes using the e-portfolio platform.
