Research on Health Science Popularization Information Design for the New-Elderly Based on Subjective Evaluation Method of Cognitive Load Experiment
摘要
Older adults generally face difficulty accessing accurate health science information due to cognitive decline. However, few studies have explored the relationship between cognitive load and the design of health science information interfaces for older adults. We explored the relationship between health science information design and cognitive load in New-elderly. The research objective is 1. to investigate the health science information design strategy based on cognitive aging. 2. to investigate the total cognitive load and satisfaction of older adults on the tweeted materials before and after information design. 3. to investigate three different types of cognitive loads in the health science information tweets. We used a questionnaire for qualitative analysis. A snowball sampling method was used to recruit suitable participants for the study of a group of older adults aged 60–79 years old who were optimistic, healthy, and proficient in using smartphones, referred to as the New Older Adults (N = 40). The results confirmed that the health science information interface after information design was effective in reducing the cognitive load and enhancing the satisfaction of the New-elderly. The study emphasizes the need to pay attention to the cognitive characteristics of older adults to develop effective health promotion design strategies.
