摘要

It is necessary to clarify how the age-related decline in physical and cognitive functions affects mobility, in order to increase the acceptance of mobility as a social system among older people. In this study, the mobility was classified into “actual mobility” and “feasibility of mobility including ability”. A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the relationships between these mobility factors, well-being, and individual characteristics of regional residents. The results suggest that “ego-resiliency” and “openness to new people and places” had a stronger influence on the potential mobility and well-being and were found across all age groups. Based on the results of this survey, we investigated the design elements of mobility that are useful for older people.
