摘要

Obtaining a driver’s license is pivotal for independence among teenagers and young adults, yet autistic individuals acquire their license less often and later than their non-autistic peers. This leads to decreased employment opportunities necessitating intervention. While existing studies have examined the complexities of driving challenges for autistic individuals, solutions are scarce. To address this gap, we developed a Simulator for Individualized and Adaptive Driving (SIAD). SIAD captures multimodal data that encapsulate driving performance and attention. In this work, we present a companion data visualization dashboard to provide driving therapists and autistic individuals insights into their attentional patterns and driving performance. We conducted a brief series of case studies involving autistic individuals driving in the simulator and a driving therapist. Feedback from these case studies informs ongoing refinement of the dashboard, demonstrating its potential to support driving education for autistic individuals.
