ReImagine Appalachia Blueprint Elements Incorporated into Law in 2021 and 2022

Through the thorough exploration of recent legislation in Post Pandemic America, the correspondence of ReImagine’s Blueprint and infrastructure law that has deeply affected the Appalachia region is inarguable. In ReImagine’s strategic and intentional coalition building, their successful encompassment of diverse voices resulted in a Blueprint that could change Appalachia infrastructure. These proposed strategies for success were seen in 2021 and 2022 legislation, to rebuild the country after the economic shutdown. These influences were particularly prevalent in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), in which ReImagine’s envision for a cleaner and more equitable Appalachia in part came to life through federal funding.
