Optimal Charging in Smart Grids: A Discrete-Event Approach for Periodic Scheduling

摘要

TheSmart Grid (SG) importance of sustainable transportation is one of the most important topics of the last decade. One of the most interesting possibilities in the public sector is certainly represented by electric buses (EBs). Even if this kind of technology can be considered equal to a private electric vehicle, some differences deserve to be pointed out. In particular, EBs are usually characterized by well-defined time patterns, leading to particular hypotheses on their schedulingScheduling. In this chapter, a discrete-event optimization modelModeloptimization - for periodic schedulingScheduling is proposed. The presented case study is defined starting from some real data provided by AMT, the bus company operating in Genoa.
