Lego-Based Remote Robotics Lab: Enhancing Didactic Engagement and Learning
摘要
This paper introduces the concept of a Lego-based remote robotics lab for enhancing didactic engagement and learning. It discusses the need for practical, hands-on experiences in robotics education and presents the Lego-based remote lab as a solution. Leveraging a customised software implementation, which allows interfacing Lego Mindstorm and Raspberry Pi, students are enabled to remotely control Lego-based robots. The advantages of this approach, such as overcoming geographical limitations and promoting collaboration, critical thinking, and practical application of concepts, are highlighted. The paper also addresses the implementation and evaluation of the lab, emphasizing positive outcomes in student engagement, motivation, and learning.
