Prominent ears although does not affect their function, imply severe psychological distress through childhood and adulthood. After reviewing this chapter, the participant should evaluate the patient’s ears for needed adjustments to size, shape, prominence, and symmetry. The participant should be able to the correct identification of the most common ear deformities and to select between the different surgical procedures for their repair. Correct completion of the chapter will allow the participant to avoid or manage the most common complications associated with otoplasty.
