摘要

For the plastic surgeon who intends to perform surgeries on the face, it is essential to understand what should be identified as unaesthetic and what can be seen as beautiful. As always, we try to create standards that allow us to guide our conduct, but cultural diversity and different conceptions of beauty make this even more challenging. The ideal face respects measurable aspects based on the distances between predetermined points and its knowledge is a guideline to achieve superior and aesthetically pleasing results even in complex cases. At the end of this chapter, the surgeon should remember and recognize which are these main references involving the three-thirds of the face.
