Fundamentals of Nose Reconstruction
摘要
The nose corresponds to the central facial unit and it is key to the aesthetics and function of the face, therefore its relevance for an adequate reconstruction. Defects should be evaluated on size, configuration, and depth. It is noted that if the defect affects the majority of the subunit, the entire subunit should be reconstructed, also using the option with like tissue so the final result ends up with the least perceptible and hidden scars. Since the nose is a three-dimensional complex entity, its reconstruction represents a challenge not easy to master. This chapter enrolls the different reconstructive options and key points worth knowing.
