摘要

An infantile hemangioma (IH) is the most common tumor of infancy. It has a proliferating and involuting phase. Diagnosis is made by history and physical examination. Treatment with pharmacotherapy or surgery is for symptomatic lesions. Surgical resection should be reserved following the involuting phase between 3 and 4 years of age. Syndromic associations with hemangioma are uncommon but must be considered with segmental facial hemangioma or hemangioma of the lumbosacral region.
