Traditional Curricula and Open Educational Resources

This chapter focuses on the following main issues: the change of traditional curricula in Vietnamese universities in the context of digital transformation and international integration along with the trend of individualization and e-learning; the content of open educational resources and their roles in promoting the innovation of Vietnamese higher education, particularly in curriculum change; the current development status of open educational resources in the higher education system; factors affecting the development of open educational resources; and essential requirements for the development of open educational resources in Vietnamese higher education. The data used in this chapter are taken from our research on open educational resources in higher education in Vietnam, combined with sources from reports of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.
