Constructive Approach to Multi-position Passive Acoustic Localization in Information-Measurement Systems

  • Dmitry V. Churikov

摘要

The paper introduces a scheme for acoustic localization in the form of a one-dimensional “acoustic line”, presenting the advantages and disadvantages of such a model. A constructive approach is proposed for multi-position passive acoustic location of sources in information-measuring systems. It is demonstrated that the application of R-functions and elements of contour analysis opens up additional opportunities for describing the consideration of parameters in the medium through which sound waves propagate. Experimental evidence shows that the use of planar and linear acoustic receiver systems enables the determination of the position of an impulse sound source with precision no worse than the measurement error. Special attention is devoted to advancing the method of passive acoustic localization by combining multiple approaches to enhance accuracy, reliability, computational speed, and efficiency.
