Conclusion

The conclusion sums up the major findings of the manuscript and highlights the gaps in literature to better understand possible future research about online hate on social media. I argue that combatting hate should not be equated with restriction to the freedom of expression because hate speech is not free speech. To be effective in countering hate, we require a collective effort by many parties and should be done on three levels: content, community, and legislation.
