There has been a paradigm shift in mathematics. It comes from the realization that traditional two-valued logical systems, crisp set theory and crisp probability are at times inadequate for dealing with imprecision, uncertainty, and complexity of the real world. We will see an important example of this in our examination of human trafficking later in the book.
