A Living Inquiry
摘要
This chapter discussed the inter-relationship of the qualitative paradigm, arts-based educational research, a/r/tography and rhizomatic analysis, as well as the inter-related subjectivities of choreographer, scholar and educator which form the basis of this study’s research design. I further explore the methodological lived experience of the meeting of dance and a/r/tography within academic research. The chapter contains a genealogy of a/r/tography as a creative methodology which has championed the importance of investigating creative and educational praxis from a practitioner’s perspective, and how they contribute to both data collection and research-creation. Research-creation is depicted in the chapter opening figure.
