摘要

The chapter is important for further acquaintance with the specifics of social responsibility in tourism by linking the topics treated in the book, introducing the chosen approaches to the analysis of social responsibility in tourism and explaining its basic relationship to the sustainability of tourism. Several key aspects of social responsibility are highlighted in the form of a mind map—cooperation, content and systemic approach and geographical scope. These basic approaches are specified by the questions for which it is indicated in which chapters the book provides answers. The central theme of the chapter is a discussion of the links between social responsibility and sustainability in tourism, visually elaborated in a scheme that highlights the interplay between the concept of sustainable tourism, which addresses the impacts of tourism, and the concept of social responsibility in tourism, which addresses the attitudes and behaviour of tourism actors. The main theme of the book is the social responsibility of individual tourism actors in the context of their choice of transport, accommodation, destination and activities in it. For tourism service providers and intermediaries and destination management, an overview of appropriate activities and approaches to implementing social responsibility is provided.
