摘要

With ageing cranes posing a heightened risk of failure, this study addresses a critical research gap by focusing on the unexplored domain of the utilizing digital twin technology for the analysis of the degradation of aging-induced load capacity. To tackle this challenge, we present a novel approach: using the ISO 23247 framework for digital twins. The framework combines models founded on the principles of physics and driven by data to develop the digital twin with focus on critical factors such as load capacity, structural stability, and system integration. Leveraging the advanced Ansys Twin Builder software, we plan to develop a robust digital twin for stack cranes compliant with the ISO 23247 framework. This research is pivotal in monitoring the safety conditions of ageing tower cranes, especially those that are prone to structural strain and degradation. Furthermore, it showcases the capability of using real-time data to anticipate the decline of intricate machinery and systems in the construction industry. Overall, this investigation highlights the power and efficiency of utilizing the ISO 23247 framework for digital twin development combined with Ansys Twin Builder software.
