摘要

Currently, there is an effort to utilize various types of waste in alternative ways. One of these is waste generated during the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of FFP2 masks. These masks are energetically recyclable. However, the problem is how the recycling process affects the power system. The main aim of the article is to analyze the power quality during the different stages of the pellet production process. The production of pellets is a complex process that can involve significant disturbances to the quality of electrical energy. The primary source of these disturbances is the frequency inverter used to control the speed of the main motor in the pelletizing machine. This paper presents a measurement study of the power quality at different stages of the pellet production process. To comprehensively evaluate the cumulative impact of the entire process, a power quality measurement was performed at the point of common coupling in the final stage of the study. The study found that the frequency inverter is the primary source of harmonics. The results can be used to develop strategies for mitigating the impact of pellet production on the quality of electrical energy and ensuring that the grid operates reliably.
