It offers a global perspective on digital innovations, examining their transformative impact on business models and market dynamics, with Estonia as a primary case study. Estonia’s commitment to digital innovation is showcased through government initiatives, university programs, and the smart city concept within Ülemiste City. Case studies of successful digital startups like Bolt and Skype provide practical insights into digital innovation’s application in entrepreneurial ventures. The study evaluates how Estonian universities, such as the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences and Tallinn University of Technology, integrate digital learning strategies to foster entrepreneurial skills. Emphasizing the importance of a collaborative ecosystem involving academia, government, and the private sector, it assesses strategies like online courses and virtual incubators in shaping future entrepreneurs’ skill sets. Ultimately, the research underscores the necessity of bridging the innovation skills gap for a resilient and prosperous future of entrepreneurship in the digital age.
