Network Security Architecture for the 18O Oxygen Isotope Separation Process
摘要
In this paper, issues related to network security for strategic applications are discussed, more precisely, the security of the entire production environment of the 18O isotope separation process, starting with the description of general security principles for a computer network, the definition of a security architecture, access levels, as well as users who have access to system resources depending on their role in the organisation and the production process. The equipment involved in the production process and the general scheme of the 18O isotope separation process are outlined. In the final part of the paper, some interesting simulation results are presented in which the dynamics of the 18O isotope concentration are highlighted as a consequence of different types of control signals generated by different staff members of the institute which owns the separation plant. Also, in the presented simulations, the correct filtering of the control signals, based on the different users' access levels, is proven.
