摘要

Several methods of treating and monitoring urinary incontinence have been developed in past years. The methods and devices used to measure pelvic floor muscle pressure are lacking the convenience and ease that women need in a fast-paced life to keep a training exercise program. To combat this problem, the proposed device was designed to be a wireless intravaginal probe with two pressure sensors, that have the function of acquire the values of the pressure issued by the pelvic floor muscles in the device. The probe, composed of two globes (with the width of 30 mm and 26 mm each) connected in an hourglass shape, will be available in 3 different lengths (70, 90 and 110 mm). All the data collected will be transmitted via Bluetooth to an app where the registered pressure values can be accessed by the patient and the medical professional. In the future, this design must be tested to ensure its functionality.
