E-voting Platform Based on Blockchain
摘要
Implementing a mixed architecture combines the centralised and decentralised architectures within the architectures used for real-time applications. This combination provides the balancing lever between the state and the voter. Thus, using a centralised application gives the state the authority to organise elections, and employing a decentralised application puts the vote in the hands of the citizens. This solution prevents any entity from modifying or influencing the outcome of the elections, as they are immutable through blockchain technology. The proposed platform provides a proof of concept for creating a decentralized voting application that uses blockchain technology to ensure the transparency and security of votes. To be usable in national elections, a private blockchain must be implemented where the consumption of transactions is paid by using tokens not cryptocurrencies. This work uses the concept of online voting, materialising through a web application that will allow remote voting. Security is a priority in this context; voting must be as secure as voting at the polls.
