摘要

This research concentrates on the elderly user group, proposing an innovative dynamic adaptive visualization mechanism within the realm of in-vehicle human-machine interface (HMI). The essence of this mechanism is the real-time analysis of users’ cognitive states, utilizing advanced adaptive algorithms for the intelligent encoding and dynamic adjustment of interface information. This design allows for the flexible variation of interface elements based on the users’ cognitive load and specific task requirements, while also providing real-time feedback on user operations, effectively enhancing the situational awareness (SA) of elderly users. The study not only delves into the technical aspects of this adaptive interface design but also empirically examines its effectiveness in enhancing the situational awareness of the elderly user demographic. The findings indicate that this mechanism significantly improves attention distribution, information processing, and decision-making response capabilities among elderly users during in-vehicle HMI interactions, thereby enhancing their overall driving safety.
