Drafting the Manuscript

Writing a paper starts with making an outline of the results section, by putting the graphs and tables in the correct order and making a few notes on what to write about them. The Results section explains the reader what was actually observed. The Discussion interprets the data in the framework of the literature. The Introduction provides the reader with the required background information and formulates the questions that the study addresses. The abstract centers around the results and aims to convince potential readers to actually read the article. Making an outline and writing in this order saves the drafting author a lot of time, because it is easier to adjust the sections to each other. Throughout the manuscript grandiose wording and overstatements should be avoided.
