Streamlining the Bone Fracture Detection Using X-Ray Imaging and Seamless PACS Data Exchange

Accurate and timely diagnosis of fractures is vital in patient care. This survey paper presents a complete methodology for developing- ing and implementing a system that uses Deep Learning techniques to automate bone fracture detection in X-ray images. It also introduces a unique feature that enables medical collaboration across different in- institutions by sharing data from Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) using DICOM standards. The main goals are to reduce the workload on radiologists, improve fracture diagnosis accuracy, and facilitate efficient data exchange for better patient care.
