Supercapacitor Based EV Power Management System

The increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has prompted intensive research into power management systems that optimizes energy utilization and improve overall efficiency. The proposed system integrates advanced supercapacitor technology to augment the performance of traditional lithium-ion batteries, offering a promising solution for enhancing energy efficiency and addressing transient power demands. The key components of the proposed EV-PMS include a sophisticated control algorithm, energy storage unit comprising lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors and an intelligent power distribution mechanism. The control algorithm powerfully alters the control stream between the battery and supercapacitor based on real-time driving conditions, optimizing energy utilization and minimizing the push on the battery. This approach not as it were expands the battery life but moreover upgrades the general energy effectiveness of the EV.
