IoT Node Authentication Using Du-KAuth with Strong Access Control Model in Smart City Application

摘要

As smart city applications continue to proliferate, the need for secure and reliable authentication mechanisms in Internet of Things (IoT) nodes becomes increasingly critical. Abstract presents the design of an IoT node authentication model utilizing the Dual Key Authentication (DKA) model, augmented with robust access control mechanisms, to ensure secure and trusted communication within a smart city environment. Proposed authentication model addresses the challenges associated with IoT node authentication, including unauthorized access, data tampering, and impersonation attacks. To enhance the security of the IoT node authentication model, strong access control mechanisms are incorporated. This helps prevent unauthorized access and limits the potential damage caused by compromised devices. The results demonstrate its capability to resist various security threats, including replay attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and unauthorized device impersonation. Moreover, the model exhibits efficient performance characteristics in terms of authentication speed and resource utilization, making it suitable for deployment in resource-constrained IoT environments.
