Digital Forensic Analysis of Ancient Book Publication Years Through Character Classification

Digital forensic techniques are frequently employed in a variety of industries, particularly in printed literature. This study presents a digital forensic examination focusing on the year of publication of ancient texts using a character classification approach. It uses neural network technology to investigate Lessing J. Rosenwald's ancient book collection and accurately identify the year of publication. The evaluation highlights the excellent result, with an average classification accuracy score of 0.99. This finding drove subsequent developments in digital forensic approaches, significantly contributing to the field of historical book analysis. This study also demonstrates the power of digital technology such as machine learning in researching history and culture through book characters.
