摘要

During the service life of buildings, the occurrence of structural damage highlights the significance of implementing structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques. In this context, Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) has emerged as a valuable tool for evaluating the dynamic characteristics of buildings over time with a high level of precision. However, this methodology has primarily been applied to individual structures, whilst the potential benefits of investigating groups of similar buildings have been limited. This study presents a methodology for the dynamic characterization of a group of twin high-rise buildings. The building set consists of three 28-story buildings located in Colombia, each equipped with triaxial accelerometers positioned at the base, center, and top levels. Through continuous data acquisition, the natural frequencies, mode shapes, and modal damping ratios of the structures are estimated. Analyzing the natural frequencies allows the identification of any alterations in the structural behavior, and comparisons with the equivalent structures can enhance the monitoring performance.
