摘要

The causes of sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) are highly varied and in many cases multifactorial. Several possible aetiological theories have therefore been proposed, sometimes the result of speculation or of specific findings (Table 1) [1–7]. In most cases of SSNHL, there is no obvious cause, and then the disease is usually known as idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSNHL) [6–8].
