摘要

Medicine is a science in constant evolution and full of uncertainty. As William Osler said: ‘The greater the ignorance, the greater the dogmatism’. This is especially true for diseases little known as idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSNHL), and about which there is much therapeutic controversy and few robust studies [1–5].
