Routine Traces Detection through Trace Alignment

In this chapter, we present the last component of our approach to the automated segmentation of UI logs which exploits trace alignment in Process Mining to detect from a UI log all those user actions belonging to a valid routine segment (i.e., as output of the human-in-the-loop interaction step) and cluster them into well-bounded routine traces, thus achieving the segmentation task (C1).
