Experience Design Assisted Healing and Therapeutic Design for Promoting Cultural Heritage: A Case of China Traditional Lingnan Water Village

The traditional Lingnan water village is an important representative of Guangfu culture in China, of which the regional cultural background of “villages built near the water” has created rich historical and cultural resources and a unique natural water village style. However, there are few studies that analyze the problems of the Lingnan water villages from the perspective of experience design, and propose practical solutions. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to investigate the current situation and problems in Lingnan water villages in terms of user experience, and to explore the possibility of implementing healing and therapeutic design with the experience design for Lingnan water villages, and to propose a experience design assisted healing and therapeutic design for promoting cultural heritage.
