Analysis of Influencing Factors on Advanced Driving Assistance System Purchase Intention in China
摘要
The number of vehicles with the introduction of Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) is increasing. For this reason, it is becoming important to study the technology acceptance on how drivers can actively accept giving up some parts of the driving operation. Although there have been quite a lot of studies on consumers’ purchase intention of new technologies and Technology Acceptance Models of ADAS, it is not common in the case of the purchase intention toward ADAS-equipped vehicles. This paper puts forward the concept of ADAS experience and discusses the relationship between related factors (ADAS experience, gender and age) and consumers’ purchase intention of ADAS-equipped vehicles and establishes a theoretical model of consumers’ purchase intention towards ADAS-equipped vehicles. The results indicate that the relationship between ADAS experience and consumers’ purchase intention shows a V-shaped curve. There is a decline of purchase intention in the middle stage, and ADAS purchase intention is not completely positively correlated with consumers’ ADAS experience. However, demographic characters are not highly relevant in purchase intention. These results can help automobile manufacturers seek new ways to increase sales of ADAS equipped vehicles.
