Atypical Bifurcation for a Class of Delay Differential Equations

We prove a global bifurcation result for a special class of parameterized neutral delay differential equations. The approach is topological and uses a notion of degree for noncompact perturbations of nonlinear Fredholm maps in Banach spaces. The degree is based on the Kuratowski measure of noncompactness.
