Analysis of a Mathematical Model of Competition in a Chain of Periodic Chemostats in Series
摘要
This work casts new insights into the model of a chain of chemostats in series, constructed in order to avoid the competitive exclusion in a nonautonomous chemostat. The main contribution of this paper is the idea to consider a periodic input of limiting nutrient, and it also proves that the chain of chemostats it is still a useful tool to ensure the periodical coexistence of the microbial species.
