Public Policies to Overcome the Vulnerability of Children
摘要
Historically, the tendency in research studies on children has been to ask adults about the children’s situation. Our approach in this book is different, since it is based on the idea that children are the actors and protagonists of their own lives. This chapter aims to introduce a theoretical reflection about the need for and the importance of generating public policies to overcome children’s vulnerability. In order to do so, it focuses on the concepts of children’s vulnerability, public policies, and the actors that participate in policy cycle with emphasis on the possibility of children as citizens.
