China’s Evidence for the Determinants of Green Business Environment from a Dynamic fsQCA

The rapid growth of the Chinese mainland’s economy was attributed to its reforms and opening-up policies. Establishing a conducive business environment has been identified as one factor contributing to the country’s rapid growth. This study used dynamic fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to analyze panel data from 30 Chinese provinces between 2011 and 2022 to shed light on the antecedent conditions that influence green business environment. The findings reveal that two distinct configurations also result in great green business environment. Finally, based on our findings, specific policy suggestions are offered.
