A Hidden Wave?
摘要
I contacted some of the people whose writing had first alerted me to the idea of a dream society. Except for Joseph Pine, who had coined the phrase, “the experience economy”, rather than dream society, they had moved on to other things, though suspecting that their original insights still had validity. Pine, on the other hand, says his experience (if you will) in the intervening years consistently reinforced and expanded his initial findings. All of them said they had not expanded their original research beyond the economy and so had no specific thoughts on the idea of the dream society writ large. I also could find only a few examples of others adopting the dream society concept and using it in their research.
