Precursor Political Dreamweavers

In spite of its manifold inadequacies and etiological pathologies, all current systems of goverance, designed for different times with different needs and abilities, are the only official forms of governance we have. Political actors have no choice but to act within or against them, according to their bounds and pressures, unless and until something better is devised. This chapter offers a consideration of the co-evolution of government, politics, and politicians, especially of several twentieth-century political precursors who exhibited antics strikingly similar to those characteristic of popular political dreamweavers during the early decades of the twenty-first century.
