Statistics Hall of Fame

“To understand God’s thoughts, we must study statistics, for these are the measures of his purpose,” wrote Florence Nightingale more than 150 years ago. Therefore, divine providence demands a Statistics Hall of Fame. After Fermat and Pascal ventured into the world of what is most likely to happen in the seventeenth century, we used statistics to cure disease, build skyscrapers, fly through the sky, and explore space. Statistics have saved lives, launched industries, and enlightened our lives. Statistics have changed the world. Therefore, we must honor those statisticians whose work led the way.
