AI Affected Job Replacements and Accompanying Ethical Problems
摘要
With ChatGPT, artificial intelligence has invaded the everyday life of people in the industrialized world almost like a raid. Within a few months, ChatGPT became known and feared as a revolutionary technology. The Open AI company and its boss, Sam Altmann, suddenly became known to a large public overnight. After just a few months, Sam Altman's AI software already had over 100 million users. With the huge chances and possibilities, however, fears, threats, and fantasies of dangers also appear that are currently not at all foreseeable. Opportunities and risks are suddenly in an unknown dimension like the famous pink elephant in the room. On the one hand, the architects of the software outdo each other in describing capabilities, performance options, and new opportunities. On the other hand, the danger of abuse, loss of control, and harmfulness are warned in many ways. Some countries have introduced controls that others consider to be grossly excessive. There is a lot of ambiguity and uncertainty. The article “Job losses caused by artificial intelligence and associated ethical problems” deals with the special forecasts and expected changes in the world of work. For this purpose, the first concrete changes in the world of work and economic influences are collected on the basis of experience in dealing with AI. The influences need to be examined more closely from an economic-ethical point of view. Then questions about intelligence and the consciousness of artificial intelligence are discussed in connection with Maslow's needs model and the question of whether we have to be afraid of artificial intelligence or not.
