Quantum Gravity
摘要
The search for a theory of quantum gravity is almost as old as Einstein’s General Relativity itself. Here we show that the hyperbolic characteristics of Einstein’s equations cannot be neglected under the penalty that the Hamiltonian vanishes. In addition, we show that the existence of a nonvanishing Hamiltonian is a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a quantum version of the space-time geometry, consistently with the principle of general covariance.
